Misery Custom Rifles built me a custom 6.5 PRC. The rifle has been a solid shooter from the start. I put 10 shots in a .4 in group with hand loads after finding the combination it liked. I also took a nice cow elk at 485 yards last season. I highly recommend using Zack to build your rifle. He knows what he is doing and is very easy to work with. There are lots of other rifle builders out there, but Misery Custom is a small business that will take time to work with you and build the rifle you want.

It was an awesome experience to have Misery Custom Rifle build me my first precision long-range rifle. This rifle is the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. Zack did a great job building it and he made sure it shot perfect before I got it. I have been out shooting after taking the winter off and this is the five-round group I shot. All five holes could be covered with a dime. I love my gun.

I was referred to Zack Tannen and Misery Custom Rifles by a friend. My first call was to ask him some questions about the 6.5PRC round, with zero intention of building a custom rifle. Zack knew this but was still extremely generous with his time and knowledge. We talked for almost 30 minutes, and as our conversation progressed, it became apparent that Zack was passionate about his craft and the quality of his work. During our discussion, I was so impressed with Zack that I decided to have him build my once-in-a-lifetime rifle. When it comes to guns, I have always been the type that believes more is better, after venturing into custom guns and long-range shooting I changed that philosophy. I spoke with Zach, we discussed what I was looking for and what caliber would best fit what I was looking to do. He walked me through the process of building my gun, and after receiving it I couldn’t be happier. Not only is the gun exactly what I wanted but shoots better than anything I’ve ever owned. With a little load development, we quickly got in shooting .25” groups. Needless to say, I sold all my other rifles and don’t plan on buying anything but a Misery Custom rifle.

I had Zack Tannen of Misery Customs build my dream rifle. I started with a phone call just seeking out information on actions and barrels and before I knew it the rifle was being built. Zack answered all my questions this being my first full build I did not know about barrel length and twist rates as well as what action would work best he explained everything in detail. We had a tight deadline to meet and it was exceeded by weeks I don’t know how Zack made that happen but it blew me away! I received the rifle and the groups spoke, this thing was a hammer. I now have full confidence taking the rifle in the mountains hunting or to the range for a match, the gun will outshoot me. The quality and attention to detail speak volumes and that’s the difference with a Misery Custom.

I had an old .270 with a cracked stock that I wanted to build a 6mm-06 for a hunt that was coming up, and after talking with Zack and going back and forth with a budget in mind. We decided that a 6.5x284 Norma would be a better solution for me. I couldn’t be happier with this build, personally shooting a .286 and taking multiple antelope and deer 500+ yards. Misery rifle work is amazing, and Zack is extremely knowledgeable and great to work with.
